Sad day in Seattle
The city of Seattle is already mourning the impending loss of its basketball team. Now they have something else to mourn: the Seahawks have cut RB Shaun Alexander.
I saw this coming with the RB signings the Seahawks made during free agency. And I understand the business end of the deal. But I’m a little sad and annoyed to see the Seahawks just cut Alexander after he’s helped lead them to a Superbowl, won an MVP award and been a pillar of the community. It seems very uncaring.
Keep in mind that I’m a huge Alabama homer and had a geology class with Shaun my freshman year. So I might be a bit biased in all this. But I’d still think that they’d give him one more shot this season to show that he can bounce back from his recent injuries.
